The Sumak-Fars, also definable as a mixed technique carpet, is made by the Kashkouli nomads in the Fars region of Southern Persia. These carpets have a relief workmanship given by the interweaving of the sumak weaving technique with the classic knotting technique. The warp and weft are in cotton while the pile is in wool. The designs used can be various, both geometric and floral, what is certain is that you will never find a Sumak-Fars carpet the same as another as they are all unique pieces both in designs and colors.
