This authentic saddle was knotted in Iran.
The saddles are made of three different manufactures: the classic carpet knot, the jajim knot, and the sumak knot. Depending on the angle from which you look at the carpet, you will be able to perceive the colors of the areas knotted with the carpet knot differently, on one side in fact they will be darker while on the other they will be lighter. This is due to the pile and counter-pile of the carpet.
