The city of Malayer is located in the northwest of the Hamadan region between the city of the same name and Ferahan. Overall, these carpets have a harmoniously balanced color scheme in which the blue or red background predominates. The design is generally characterized by palmettes or rosettes of various shapes and sizes. The warp and weft are made of cotton, the weft is often dyed blue, while the pile is medium-high shaved.
