These carpets are produced by the Kurds or the Luri in the province of Kermanshah and take their name from the commercial city where they are sold. The predominant colors are copper red, dark blue and moss green. The designs can be rustic and colorful, in the artifacts knotted by the mountain Kurds or by the nomads, while with floral motifs and more elegant in the few city factories. The warp and weft are in cotton while the pile, medium-high or high shaved, is always in wool.
